Avril Lavigne returns to her punk ways

For a moment there I thought Avril Lavigne had shed her punk ways for a more conservative, sophisticated look (right). I wondered... had married life tamed the rebellious rock chick inside? Where was the heavy black eyeliner? The neck tie? Now to coincide with the release of her latest album "The Best Damn Thing," it seems that Avril has returned to her punk roots with all the stringy hair and boy shorts that made her famous in the first place. At a press conference to promote her new album in Tokyo yesterday (left), she turned up in long shorts with braces, a black tee, black tights and skull sneakers.
