Fair Game: Political Drama Beautiful and gripping
For me, watching this movie like a vent their curiosity to watch the director's familiarity reliable Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity-2002, Mr. & Mrs.Smith-2005, Jumper-2008) in translating the true story of a phenomenal fabric of Valeria Plame Wilson, a homemaker steps at a CIA agent who was trapped in difficult situations and episodes full of intrigue in a piece of his life.
Valeria wrote his life story in a book Fair Game: My Life as a Spy, My Betrayal by the White House (2007). The story that was later raised in the 108-minute length movies, also enriched with memoirs of Joseph Wilson (husband of Valeria), entitled "The Politics of Truth (2004).
The happy couple, Joseph "Joe" Wilson (Sean Penn) and Valeria (Naomi Watts) live together in harmony like a profile of middle-class American family. They care for their twin daughters, and sometimes participate girl talk about politics with their friends on the sidelines of free time. In those days (in the setting of 2002), the George W Bush is being heavily-incessant search for the crack to get evidence for the existence of uranium or anything related to weapons of mass destruction in Iraq as a pretext for military aggression. Valeria is also involved in covert operations was the status as a CIA agent with her husband.
As a diplomat, Joe Wilson was assigned to Nigeria with a mission to prove allegations that the country has entered into transactions of purchase and provision of basic material with the Iraqi nuclear bomb. But Joe and then find facts that refute these allegations. He was then reported to his superiors. But the facts are presented by Joe's sudden "annulled" after Scooter Libby (David Andrews), chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney's office asking the argument that "neutralize" reports Joe and convince the parties concerned that they have forgotten the pipes contain chemicals that become raw materials of weapons of mass destruction are. And so, we finally know the invasion of Iraq took place. Not terlerai. "" I was amazed watching the parade acting Sean Penn and Naomi Watts are very coherent with the sticky chemistry. ""

Joe turned out to not stay silent. With fury he wrote an article in the New York Times that claimed the U.S. government has conducted a public lie with the engineering reasons for attacking Iraq. Joe's article, which shows the results of field research to strengthen the evidence, make the White House broke ganjing. And through articles in The Washington Post the identity of Valerie as a CIA agent was revealed to the public. No doubt Joe's family life and Valeria are on the verge of crisis when the people and the government considers them nothing more than a traitor to the nation.
The option to remain against the principle of Joe. With persistent he voiced to various media while Valerie chose silence. Different options that make the conflict a couple is increasingly sharp. Valerie finally got go "fight" with her husband to testify based on the fact that he got, and we then know what happened next.
Frankly I was amazed watching the parade acting Sean Penn and Naomi Watts are very coherent with "chemistry" that is "sticky". This is the third time they reunited in one frame and the two stars are very well presented though emotions, fear, courage and turmoils are very expressive. Sean Penn character in my opinion quite brilliant play a figure of "the dissidents" who fight for ideals. The background of this actor is enough to understand the political dynamics are relatively supportive role.
When the film Mr. & Mrs.Smith claim the director Doug Liman laden action scenes, do not expect a lot of similar things you find in this movie. In the prologue to the film, Liman is explained more in how to romance a secret CIA agent and then gradually increased to a resistance "rabble" of the injustice of the state. Pithy political dialogues much you encounter throughout this film and is suitable for you who enjoyed the political drama films including all the intrigue that is contained therein. Liman managed to "carve" a tense beauty in this film.
It seems indeed, accentuation Fair Game is more focused on how the political dynamics of conflict and provide a significant influence on family harmony. Despite the tendency of selecting this point of view relative "melancholy" and may be less popular I think the portion of the political drama that is presented fairly proportioned to provide color and enrich our perspective as a lay audience. I hope Indonesia can be inspired filmmakers to make quality movies from this great movie. The idea was developed a lot and stay:)
